ABOUT ME

I am a Lieutenant/Lead Paramedic in a federal fire department in Alabama. As a 17-year veteran in the fire industry I found my true passion for teaching and equipping the next generation of emergency responders in EMS. This passion led me to starting Jump Bag EMT Test Prep!

I accomplished my NREMT Basic in 2008 and expanded my scope of practice as a Paramedic in 2015. I was terrified! I felt overwhelmed by the responsibility and the scope of practice I carried as a paramedic. Things shifted when I started teaching EMS classes in my fire house. I began to feel more confident! I found a unique way to retain and apply the information and it helped others as well!  I quickly became a pursued instructor and took over the EMS program for a fire battalion of about 120 firefighters.

Since that time, I have helped launch a new Advanced Life Support program for a BLS fire department, created and led CPR and NREMT recertification programs for multiple fire departments and operated as head instructor for EMR, NREMT-B and NREMT-I certification courses. In addition, I have authored curriculum and coached dozens of firefighters to conquer the NREMT at all levels.

The NREMT is simply a hurdle in the launch of a career. Students tends to be ready for the career field coming out of school, but don’t have a clear understanding of how to attack the test. This is where Jump Bag EMT comes in. We have mastered the art of the NREMT and can’t wait to watch you succeed! Follow the plan…Crush the exam!!!
